Baby North American Robin

The American robin (Turdus migratorius), or robin, is one of the most familiar and widely distributed songbirds. It is equally at home in city parks and gardens, rural farms, woodland edges, and subalpine meadows. This North American “robin” is actually a thrush, and the English robin (Erithacus rubecula) of children’s stories is in a completely different family of birds.
